Testimonials

As President of Bethesda Healthcare Systems, Inc., I have been actively involved with Mouw Associates, Inc. during our growth period for the past 22 years. In that time period, Bethesda engaged Mouw to construct all of our expansion needs, from small additions, to major hospital expansions, to a brand new hospital, in total over 23 separate projects ranging from several hundred thousand dollars to our new 80 bed hospital costing over $100 million dollars.

Hospital construction is one of the most complicated and diverse type projects in the construction industry, as the contractor must construct sterile operating rooms, clinical laboratories, full food service kitchens, as well as administrative office space and decorative public spaces, all with complex mechanical and electrical systems and under the strictest life-safety codes in the industry. All of the projects were built on time, under budget and most importantly built to the quality standards we required. They have always demonstrated the ability to select quality subcontractors and maintain an excellent working relationship with them and their staff throughout the entire construction time frame. They were able to develop and maintain this relationship due to their expertise in managing the construction process in the most efficient and effective manner. They have really excelled in comparison to most other contractors I have observed in my 40 years of hospital administration.

Finally and most importantly Bethesda continues to do business with Mouw Associates, Inc. because of their honesty and integrity. From the owners to the front line construction workers onsite, they have been a pleasure to work with and I know they have their client’s concerns and interest as paramount in their day to day work. Therefore, I am pleased to be able to highly recommend Mouw Associates, Inc. as a contractor/construction manager for any type of project, regardless of complexity or size.

Robert B. Hill, President & CEO – Bethesda Memorial Hospital

It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I recommend Mouw Associates, Inc. for their fine work as general contractors. In working with the firm throughout our entire 40 plus years, we can without hesitation recommend them for any construction project. Integrity, workmanship and timely construction are hallmarks of the Mouw team. It was why, as a State Director for the Florida American Institute of Architects, I recommended them for Contractor of the Year, which the Board then heartily endorsed.

Any owner would be well served by hiring this fine firm and have my full confidence in recommending them.

Robert G. Currie, FAIA

The key to a successful construction project is the ability of the Owner, Architect and Contractor to work together for the same goals, not only from the onset of a project but to the handing over of the keys at its completion.  As Chair of the Construction Committee for the new Delray Dunes Golf and Country Club, we were fortunate enough to have selected Mouw Associates as the General Contract for this project.  Rick Mouw assembled a professional team who worked closely with our Committee from the onset of the document Design Phase through to its completion.  Mouw Associates was awarded a “Contract at Risk” or “Guaranteed Maximum Price” contract.  Sensitive to the monetary restraints that all projects must be concerned with, but especially the consideration that an entire membership of a club would be the beneficiary of the success of the project, the Mouw organization worked tirelessly to optimize our goals while controlling the costs.

Anthony Polera, Vice President – Delray Dunes Golf and Country Club

This letter is to serve as my full-fledged and enthusiastic recommendation of Mouw Associates – Construction Managers.

I had the direct pleasure of joining the Delray Dunes Golf and Country Club team as its General Manager on June 1, 2011, which is the same day that the wrecking ball brought our old Clubhouse down.  From that day forward, I considered myself very fortunate to have the Mouw team in charge of our project bringing a 25,000 square foot Clubhouse and 2,500 square foot fitness center online.  Seldom will you see the words “on time” and “under budget” in the same sentence, but due in large part to the active role Rick Mouw took in directing his group, we were able to do so.  Rick attended every weekly meeting held with Project Manager and Foreman, the Dunes’ Owner’s Rep, management, architecture firm and sub-contractors and kept our project moving smoothly.

If I am ever in need of construction services again, I have no doubt where I will turn.  I firmly believe that by selecting Mouw Associates as your General Contractor or Construction Manager you will demonstrate to your members, Boards, investors that you have exercised your duty to ensure maximum return on your very important resources.
